Webassessor Sentinel Security Shield(TM)

At the heart of the Webassessor Online Secured Testing Technology(TM) resides state-of-art, patent-pending security technology that is interwoven into every layer of its functionality. In addition, Webassessor Sentinel Security Shield converts a regular computer into a High-stakes Online Secured Testing (HOST) Station. Sentinel Shield not only locks down the computer but also it actively monitors and records each testing session, analyzing them for anomalies.

In combination with Online KCPs, Sentinel Shield raises the bar for security standards, aberrance detection, and deterrence while offering effective test delivery alternatives.

With Webassessor(TM) and Sentinel Security Shield, you can:

  • Protect Test Content:
    Ensure integrity and security of your tests with a secure, locked-down testing environment. Test Takers cannot use other applications, keyboard functions such as print or copy, and cannot exit the Security Shield until their Assessment is complete.

  • Enhance Test Delivery Security:
    Webassessor(TM) employs a wide variety security technologies and processes to deter and detect aberrance during the testing process.

    In addition to common security techniques such as Onsite Proctoring and supporting standard psychometric test analysis we have added:
    • Forward Only Test Delivery
    • Innovative Item Types (Including the New Foster Item Type)
    • Onsite KCP Secure Launch and Proctoring
    • Single Encrypted Item Test Delivery
    • Online Proctoring:
         - Real-time video monitoring:
           A team of Online KCPs monitors a live video feed of the Test Taker in real-time.
         - Historical Behavior Analysis:
           Previous Test Taker testing activity is available to Online KCPs for detecting
           aberrant behavior.
         - Real-Time Data Forensics – Latency:
           Test Taker's progress through the Assessment is monitored and aberrant response
           time patterns (answering too quickly or too slowly) alerts the Online KCPs.
         - Real-time video monitoring:
           A team of Online KCPs monitors a live video feed of the Test Taker in real-time.
         - Keystroke Aberrance Detection:
           Test Taker's use of any unauthorized keystrokes (i.e. Print, Function key)
           is disabled, and any attempt to do so alerts the Online KCPs.
         - Process Aberrance Detection:
           Test Taker's use of any other applications during testing is disabled, and any
           attempt to do so alerts the Online KCPs.
         - Video Feed Aberrance Detection:
           Loss of video feed or video signal quality alerts the Online KCPs.
       
  • Authenticate Consistent Test Taker Identity:
    Ensure that the same individual who registered in the account is the same individual taking the test by using:
    • Test Taker Biometric Enrollment:
      Webassessor(TM) initially identifies Test Takers with digital photographs and biometric identification prior to their first testing session.
    • Test Taker Authentication:
      Webassessor Sentinel Security Shield(TM) and our Online KCPs authenticate a Test Taker's biometric data prior to launching a test including:
         - Test Taker Photo:
           Store a Biometric Enrollment photo of your Online Proctored Test Takers before
           their Testing Session and compare a Biometric Authentication photo at the start
           of their Testing Session.
         - Sentinel Keystroke Analytics(TM):
           During the Biometric Enrollment process, Keystroke Analytics creates a Biometric
           Enrollment profile based on a Test Taker’s typing patterns. During test launch and
           at the time of Biometric Authentication, the fraud detection component of
           Sentinel Keystroke Analytics(TM) uncovers typing patterns that do not match the
           Biometric Enrollment profile. Sentinel Keystroke Analytics alerts Online KCPs
           to take appropriate action.
         - Online KCP Test Launch Authorization:
           An Online KCP compares the Biometric Enrollment and Biometric Authentication
           photos prior to Test Launch. If there is a match, the Online KCP authorizes
           the test launch.
