Through our unique partnership approach, KRYTERION provides you with exceptional psychometric solutions. We base our services on the latest best practices for professional testing standards as well as legal guidelines. In collaboration with industry experts we assist you with each step of the test development process, ensuring that a test is valid, fair and legally defensible.

With KRYTERION, you can:

  • Define Program Activity: You can set the testing goals, scope, success criteria, target audience, and number of tests.
  • Analyze Accurate Job Task/Competencies:  You can systematically identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities (i.e. competencies) required to perform a job.
  • Create a Test Blueprint Development: The Test Blueprint provides you with a road map for the item writers in terms of the topics to cover in each test, the specific test objectives to cover under each topic, and the number of test items (i.e. questions) to write for each test objective.
  • Create Test Questions (Item Writing): You can write items online or via an in-person workshop that instructs your subject matter experts on how to write high-quality items.  Our online item writing tools greatly expedite the item writing and review process while reducing costs.
  • Review Items: You can review and edit your Items via multi-step review process (e.g. technical, language, bias, psychometric) to ensure they are technically correct, measure important knowledge and skills, are psychometrically sound, are free from spelling, grammar, punctuation errors, and do not appear to favor any particular nationality, race, religion, or gender.
  • Manage Beta Testing:  You can administer items to a sample of the target population to gather data for statistical analyses which serve as a foundation for the final test form. 
  • Analyze Items and Tests: You can statistically analyze your items and tests to make sure they meet accepted standards of psychometric quality and meet your testing objectives.
  • Set Standard Score: You can determine the minimum score needed to pass each test.
  • Construct Test Forms:  You can build multiple forms or versions of a test so that the Test Taker does not get the same version twice if they retake the test.
