ASTD Certification Institute Selects KRYTERION to Deliver its CPLP(TM) Certification Exam
KRYTERION Webassessor(TM) to deploy new computer-based certification exam for Test Takers in North America
Phoenix, AZ, June 20, 2006 - KRYTERION, Inc., today announced an agreement with the American Society for Training & Development Certification Institute (ASTD CI) to deliver its Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP(TM)) certification examination through the KRYTERION Webassessor(TM) online secured test delivery system. The CPLP exam is the first part of a two-step examination process to certify individuals in the workplace learning and performance (WLP) field.
Formally founded earlier this year, KRYTERION is not a traditional "start-up" organization. It is a unique joint-venture creating a distinctive blend of High-stakes, online, secured testing solutions which stem from the core competencies of its founders. Caveon, the market leader in test security, brings leading edge test security technologies. Drake International, who founded Drake Prometric - the first computer-based testing company in the IT industry - adds a long history of test delivery and a legacy of testing innovations. In 2005, ASTD CI introduced the CPLP pilot program to help workplace learning and performance (WLP) professionals understand the critical skills and abilities they must have to succeed in the field. The foundation for the CPLP credential is the ASTD Competency Model(TM) and its nine areas of expertise that cover the entire scope of the WLP profession - from designing learning, to improving human performance, to measuring and evaluating, to coaching, to career planning and talent management, and so forth.

The Webassessor Solution
Delivered through a global network of Drake Authorized Testing Centers (DATCs), Webassessor is a complete testing tool for all administrators, candidates and end-users. Webassessor will deploy the CPLP certification exam during three annual testing windows via its DATC network.
